Not as good as the ones Maho-chan writes for our unit. She works so hard all the time! I bet she'd do really well here. Even if she might go "why" at everything weird, which is everything.

Isn't your life pretty weird already...?

I thought it was mostly normal! Usually. I guess sometimes weird stuff happens, but we haven't had to save the world or anything since the last time. Closest we got was helping Lyrical Lily still be able to DJ when the headmistress got sick and their student council got all "this is the perfect opportunity to prove they shouldn't have gotten an exemption from our rule against modern and worldly pursuits, blah blah blah the only music you should be singing is church hymns." They invited us all to their school to perform and talk to the students, and everyone at Arisugawa seemed super nice and got all excited to meet us! Everyone was talking to me all the time and asking about my life and stuff!

[Rinku makes happy noises. Yeah, she was completely oblivious to half the plot of that arc, but the part she was there for and understood, she had a great time.]

I'm glad it all turned out well? And that saving the world isn't a regular thing for you.

[Excited noise! Hearing Evangeline has confidence in her always makes Rinku Happy Around. She snuggles on her and then lets go to stand up.

And shifts into a large sphinx with fluffy fur and wings who barely fits in the space of floor between the bed and the bookshelf.]

That reminds me! I'm getting better at this one! I can be bigger or smaller than this, too!

Oh, wow! You're so cute!

[Immediately goes to pet her sister. Fluffy.]

[Yaaaaay pets. She nuzzles Evangeline happily.]

I was a big sphinx trying to herd the cows in that one trial, but they just got scared of me. But now I can be a cat-sized sphinx too! And in between, like this! Animal shifting's so much fun! Hmm, maybe I should've gotten stuck as one of these instead... Wait, no, my headphones wouldn't fit with cat ears.

You'd have to get custom ones for sure. Giraffe is nice too, but it isn't as fluffy.

I'm still kinda fluffy. This is way more, though, you're right.

[She shifts back to normal to cuddle on Evangeline again.]

What else would've been a cool thing to be? If I ended up as a gecko, would I be able to climb up walls?

Probably! That's less useful when you can give yourself wings though.

Aww, that's true. And if I were part fish, maybe I'd have to live in a tank.

Don't do that, it'd be harder to hug you if you lived in a tank.

Yeah, that's true... I guess it's a good thing things ended up the way they did! What about you? What do you like being?

Hummingbird is nice! It's super maneuverable, I feel like I'm totally free in movement.

That's cool! And it's so pretty too! I like all kinds of animal forms, but the ones I like the most are ones that remind me of the different places I've lived in.

[She shifts into her gonolek form and ruffles her wings.]

Like this bird lives in Nigeria, where I got my udu from! And my fish form, the one that looks like you? They had it in the lakes on Tiotio Island!

That does sound pretty nice. The City doesn't have a whole lot in terms of wildlife, sadly...

And I guess there aren't any Abnormalities on the list, either, huh.

Not really, but I could probably use summer shapeshifting for the ones that aren't really animal-like at all?
