[Although Rider had been the one to suggest the prospect of finding some glasses that would block the power of her eyes, she was naturally a little wary about the whole prospect. But she trusted Evangeline, so that was enough to set her mind at ease. Had it been a stranger... it would have taken significantly longer for her to get comfortable with the idea of them examining her.

But as it was, after various tests and experiments, it seemed that they were in a good position! Rider had come over as soon as Evangeline contacted her, of course, to see what she'd come up with.]

Your glasses are all ready!

[Evangeline, smiling brightly, places a pair of simple-looking glasses in Rider's hands.]

Just so you aren't worried, in the event that it doesn't work for some reason, there's a potion to reverse petrification in my desk. No harm done. But it worked perfectly in testing.

[A small, nervous smile came into her face as she felt the glasses being placed into her hands- and of course, Evangeline had already prepared a potion, just in case. That was most appreciated!]

...I am glad you have prepared yourself. I trust you, but I do not want to risk the worst.

[Evangeline did good work, so she was sure these would work, especially after all the tests they'd done.

Rider took a deep breath, reaching one hand to the back of her head.]

Alright. I suggest you turn away for a moment.

[Evangeline has confidence in her own work, but she knows how Rider worries, so it's important to have safety measures just in case.

She turns around.]

I'm turned the other way, you can put them on now.

[Rider always worries-

Once she'd gotten the confirmation, there was a light click as she undid the clasp at the back of her blindfold, sliding it off into her hands. A familiar flare of cursed energy as her eyes snapped open- and with a little bit of fumbling, she quickly put the glasses on.

Blink... blink.]

I think...alright. It should be safe, now.

[Even if part of her wished she had a mirror. She'd rather risk petrifying herself than hurting Evangeline- but there was no time to fret about that now. Besides, it certainly felt as if they were suppressing the power of her eyes properly.]

[Evangeline turns around, and looks Rider in the eyes.

Nothing happens. After a moment just to make sure, Evangeline beams.]

It works! And you have beautiful eyes, I have to say.

[Her own eyes sparkle with delight.]

[It takes nearly all of Rider's willpower to not immediately avert her gaze- but no. Breathe. Focus.

And she met Evangeline's eyes for the first time.

Rider's own eyes widened a little. They were subtly inhuman, yes, but the glasses were doing their job.]

...!

Yes- it works. I-...I can finally look at you.

[Oh, then in comes the compliment- and that's enough to make her blush through the quiet excitement.]

[Oh, no, she's so cute.]

Well? How do I look?

[And so, so awkward. Rider swallowed back the immediate thought of well, she lowkey wants to see more of her but they were also at her workplace so...!]

Good- you- um, you are very pretty.

[There are workplaces where Evangeline would not hesitate to get naked, but this is not one of them.]

Thank you! That means a lot coming from someone as beautiful as you.

[If Evangeline got a dollar for every time she made Rider flustered, she wouldn't need this job at all.]

[Progress! She takes a moment to look around her, but soon focuses her attention back to Evangeline- it was a little overwhelming right off.]

I'm flattered, but I think being able to see will be exciting enough for you that you'll be able to distract yourself from that thought.

There are a lot of things I want to see. I should probably focus on not overwhelming myself, first of all.

[One thing at a time! And yes, she was getting quite excited as she returned her focus to thinking about being able to see Ellipsa properly for the first time!]

...I might see if my Master can show me around the Botanical Gardens if he is free, so I can look at the flowers there.
