I may not even see the illusions. It's unclear - my second sight isn't fully something I can control... there are parts to it that are passive. While I can "turn it on", so to speak, in order to peer past veils and the like --

... Dream manipulation, however, sounds like a likely course of action. There's no reason for me to hallucinate in a dream - It's a dream, after all.
