Evangeline is a competent combatant - she'd have to be, to have survived this long. She swings her monstrous scythe around with a practiced ease, focusing on taking out the monster in front of her.

She hears a hawk's cry, and then a voice in her mind, and narrowly dodges out of the way of a second monster right before a hawk digs its talons into it.

"Thank you!" she calls out. She'll be more friendly in a second, right now she's still focused on the fight - she takes a fierce swing at the first monster to cut it clean in half, then turns to face the one engaged with the hawk.
