Yeah! Yeah, definitely, you gotta try that one! That's from when we went to this place that's supposed to be an "authentic Western ranch experience"! They had a hot spring with capybaras and everything.

[What exactly is authentic about that?]

I didn't think so, but I guess. Or maybe they just already had them.

Huh. ...Well, capybaras are cute, so I guess I wouldn't complain too much either way.

It was fun! We got to see horses and did a cowgirl show riding them and Rika-chan had a goat almost eat her clothes but it didn't so it was fine!

It sounds like fun! I would’ve liked to see it.

Why don't we go sometime? It'll be fun!

Once we can do that, there'll be so many places I want to go, I won't be able to keep track of them all.

Same! So many people's worlds sound so exciting. Where all else do you wanna go?

I want to meet Eve's parents. They sound really nice.

I think so too. The versions of her family in her head were nice even if sometimes I didn't know what to do.

I wasn't sure either, to be honest. Heart games are hard.

...eh? I did? When? I don't remember it. And don't you only do it when you need it? Was it last fall?

It was when we were going into other people's dreams. Yours was like a school festival, I had to fix things up and put things that were in the wrong places in the right places and I got songs as a reward, and then at the end I had to put on a performance.

Huh... That sounds kinda fun. I guess it makes sense, since I went into other people's heads then too kind of. I remember Korone-chan's, though I thought that was just a normal thing for her. She and the other hers warned me if anything was dangerous. Come to think of it, I couldn't really tell sometimes who everyone was? I know there was her but also sometimes there were other voices and versions in there in pictures and colours and stuff. And since I only knew her and Koronai-chan, and how she explained how they work was like, they all have the same foundation but they're different on the inside, I kinda called all the others different cornet fillings 'cause she's Choco Korone so there must also be Cream Korone and Apricot Korone and there was this one I didn't know if they were a whole separate her or not but I figured that one was Mascarpone Korone just to be safe --

[Rinku belatedly realizes she's trailed off on a tangent. She shakes her head to try to focus.]

But! Was my head fun? Did anything hurt you? I hope not.

That's very cute, I'm sure she liked that.

Yours was fun! Nothing hurt me - there was a big demon there holding a plushie of me but I got it away from him without getting touched, and that was the only thing kind of threatening around.

Phew... That's good. I kinda worried because I guess they can be dangerous sometimes.

[She wonders if her heart is dangerous now.

But Evangeline's not in it now, she went there in February, she had a good time, everything was fine. Rinku smiles.]

I'm really glad I was fun. Maybe that's why you always seem to get me, Neechan.

I think I understood you pretty well before I went into your heart.

Oh, yeah, that's true... I know you used to be all "how are you real," but things changed after a while. And I think you're one of... not a lot of people who know what I mean when I say I love everybody and everyone's important. I try really hard, but people don't get it.

Love's an important thing, so people think that the way it works for them must be the way it works for everybody, I think? The way it works for you is just as right as anybody else's.

Huh, when you put it that way, it does make sense. Do they think you're confused too?

[ For a moment, Jyoti just blinks at her, as an ugly yet familiar feeling rises in her chest. It's something she's felt time and time again with Evangeline - that despite all their similarities, despite every way they simply get each other in ways it feels no one else possibly could, Evangeline... is better than her. In every single way. She has no idea how to process these emotions.

So she does what she does best: shoves them away and pretends they don't exist. Like everything's normal, and they're just an ordinary pair of friends gossiping about their totally regular love lives. As you do. ]

... Who? [ It's people. Plural. At least things haven't changed so dramatically that Evangeline's now monogamous. ]

[Evangeline interprets that blinks as surprise. Why wouldn't she? It's a big jump for her.]

[Evangeline isn't any kind of amazing. She struggles with things normal people find easy. She's just lucky enough to have people who support her enough to try the things that she struggles with - a luck that not everyone has.]
